Nicolas put together a binary for the open source version of Abuse last week, but I'd forgotten about it until this evening.
Abuse is a side scrolling action game originally released by Crack Dot Com back in 1995. The tardist contains the full version of the game from the Abuse-SDL website as well as source code (optional install). I've found the audio in this build to be a bit rough, but other than that it seems okay.
Update: Nicolas recommends setting the following environment variable to address the sound quality issue:
setenv SDL_AUDIODRIVER esd
There's a surprisingly active Abuse forum at http://www.abuse2.com which is worth looking at.
