SGI Beta Updates

Note: These packages are now available in final release as part of the May 2003 Freeware distribution.

This week has seen the addition of two new packages so far:

gettext-0.11.5-sgipl1
samba-2.2.8

There is a staggering number of beta packages currently amassed at http://freeware.sgi.com/beta right now ... much more than I've ever seen at one time before. The next Freeware distribution looks like it's shaping up to be a big one.

I already have samba-2.2.8 running on my main Origin 200 because of the security warning on Bugtraq. I would advise everyone to update. It seems to be working fine so far...
