:I did that because it seems like the SGI category is unecessary.  Nearly everything on this wiki could be categorized as SGI.  I think the SGI category comes from cutting and pasting Wikipedia articles.  I'd like to remove links and categories that are generic topics already covered by Wikipedia (i.e. API, computer graphics, Computer companies of the United States, Central processing unit, Linux, etc.)  Maybe these links should be maintained but directed back to Wikipedia?--[[User:RageX|RageX]] 17:30, 28 December 2006 (PST)

:There are quite a few companies that produce(d) software for the SGI platform, not the least of which is SGI. I think Software should be something of a "parent" category to SGI, Alias|Wavefront, Discreet, et al. [[User:Ipaddict|Ipaddict]] 13:05, 29 December 2006 (PST)
